Are you ready for Car Free Day?
This year, we’re trying something exciting and a little bit different. If you’re a fan of daily challenges like the Wordle, or any of the New York Times games, you’ll like our challenge.
This challenge culminates in Car Free Day, which will be celebrated across the region on Monday, September 23, when thousands of people pledge to drop their car keys for a trip and can receive a ton of great prizes like a Samsung Galaxy, cooking classes, a membership to Washington Area Bicycling Association (WABA), and more.
What Is It?
This challenge is a mix of local trivia and iSpy. We’ve carefully curated a set of questions for your specific area that highlight notable landmarks that are easily accessible without a car.
Here’s How It Works
TDLR: We’ll send you a question and if you are one of the first 30 participants to answer correctly, you win that daily prize.
In a more detailed form: During the week of Monday, September 16, you will get a daily email with a link taking you to our curated questions. After you answer, you’ll know immediately if you got that question correct and other fun facts related to the topic! You will receive your daily prize at the end of the day after we collect all the community’s answers.
And that’s it! You don’t have to do anything else.
If you don’t win, don’t sweat – you’ll have plenty of chances to win throughout the week.
Prizes Up for Grabs
We are offering prizes for this challenge separately from the regional giveaways.
Here is a list of prizes you could win:
- If you are one of the first 30 participants to answer the question correctly, you’ll receive $5 off your next Amazon order with a free Gift Card.
- If you answer ALL questions correctly, you’ll be entered to win a $100 Amazon Gift Card.
Why Join?
Our game is going to challenge you to think outside the box when it comes to going places.
All the questions you get this week revolve around what’s happening around your workplace and how you can get there without having to drive. To maximize fun and reduce stress, you can dodge the parking fees and traffic by walking, taking a bike ride, hopping on the bus, or even riding the Metro a few stops.
Is this your first Car Free Day? Don’t worry, this challenge has everything you need to prepare for a car-free trip.
Not your first time? Not a problem! We’re always here to support you if you want to try something different this year.
Don’t forget! Scotts Run Connect isn’t the only one offering prizes. Pledge today to go car-free on Monday, September 23 for dozens of opportunities to win raffles from local businesses.
